Lu Sheng (芦笙) is a popular instrument played by the ethnic groups of Guizhou (贵州), Guangxi (广西) and Yunnan (云南) provinces of China. This 16-reed Lu Sheng is an improved version of the traditional 6-reed Lu Sheng. It is mainly made of bamboo, wood and brass. Although the resonators of this instrument are made of bamboo, this Lu Sheng has a robust tone.
